British teenager Alex Murley continued his adjustment to the FIM Supersport World Championship yesterday, finishing twenty-sixth in the nineteen lap Acerbis French Round, held at the 2.7 mile Magny-Cours circuit near Nevers.

Alex, who was on track with the world’s best Supersport competitors for only the second time, showed a significant improvement in terms of outright pace, slashing seconds of his personal lap time in every session, including the fifteen minute Tissot-Superpole.

With the next round of WorldSSP taking place at a new venue for everyone, El Villicum in Argentina, Alex is optimistic of further improvement in what will be the penultimate race of the season.

Alex Murley:
“It was a really positive weekend at Magny-Cours, my second weekend on a 600. Everytime I get on the bike I feel more comfortable and in France I made some big steps and was much closer to the front. The GEMAR Lorini Team were great all weekend, helping me to understand about how to ride a supersport bike and also teaching me about the suspension which is completely different to the 300. We completed the race which was the target and I can head to South America confident of further improvements there. Massive thanks to all my sponsors especially Redfern Stevens, Bell Helmets, and Gaerne.”
